We Go Deep Into the Forest. (where it is quiet and we love it)

On Wednesday we hooked up the trailer and headed about 20 miles north into the Sam Houston National Forest of Texas.

The Cagle Recreation Area has a small campground with spacious sites in the middle of a pine and hardwood forest.  The Recreation Area is on Lake Conroe, and our campground is very quiet except for the music of the songbirds.
No matter where we go in Texas - where there is a body of water there are fishermen.

We did have a close call with the travel trailer ............
Whenever we back into a new location, Karen gets out of the truck and instructs Bill, with hand signals, where and how far to back up.  She watches for obstructions and such......

Well...while she was watching the sides of the trailer she forgot about the back end and Bill just happened to stop about 5 inches from this tree.   Wow! Talk about a close call!
(Note: see Karen's reaction  to her error in the window)
Thank you Lord for small favors.
