A Day at the Museum

On Friday we put on our "tourist" hats and drove to Pensacola to the Naval Base that is home to the Blue Angels.
It is an attraction that gets a "GEM" rating by AAA and we found out why.  It traces the development of American naval aviation from its beginning to the present.  It contains more than 150 restored aircraft.

Here are four actual Blue Angel A-4 Skyhawks suspended from the ceiling in one of their performance formations.
Aircraft from the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard are on display.

Here is Karen with the Skylab Command Module.
