Identifying the Local Birds

On a recent bicycle ride through a Fruitland Park neighborhood Bill noticed this beautiful
Raptor sitting on the house above.  Who or what could she be looking for?

At least 20 minutes later when returning on the bike ride the bird was sitting on this tree trunk in back of the same house.  Very patient ---still waiting and looking.  For what??

While Bill watched,  her mate (or boyfriend) flew in for a visit.  Come to find out, they were not just hawks but instead were Lovebirds!  The proof is in the picture below!
Oh well!  Love is in the air (and so are the birds).

We are leaving Fruitland Park and the Lake Griffin State Park on Friday and heading farther south into the town of Leesburg.
