The campground is modern, roomy, and has over 100 sites with full hookups and over fifty primitive campsites. With our National Parks senior pass we are only paying $18 per night! There is a unique swimming area in the park and a few stores nearby for supplies. We were very surprised that we could drive into a campground this nice without a reservation and pick out a comfortable campsite and be told we could stay there until April if we wanted at $18 per night. The downside is that there is no TV cable and again the Verizon signal is weak to get onto the Internet.
It was a cool day on Thursday but we did some exploring and found these old Oak trees that the signs said were over 200 years old.
On our walk Karen got this picture of a Bald Eagle soaring overhead.
If you wonder where the Michigan Sandhill Cranes have gone--we found them hanging out in this yard across from the Campground.
