Bird Houses or Decor?? You Make the Call.

 
 We saw the sign above at a local library we recently visited, near the items shown below.
 
 
They were very pretty but Bill doubted if any wild birds would ever get to move in. They cost about $20 apiece.
 
 
In the past, Bill has made many gourd houses and he used to get a family of Tree Swallows to nest in one each year for  nine consecutive years when we lived in Linden, Michigan.  His gourds were never painted bright colors but they had a much sturdier leather string for attaching them to the roof overhang under which they hung.
On Friday we had to move out of Griffin Lake State Park.  We have found that, as a general rule, all the Florida State Parks are full on weekends with local residents escaping the cities.  We moved into Ridgecrest Resort which is about three miles south of Leesburg, FL.
