Bill rode north on his bike away from the Gulf on some back roads to see what it was like in the countryside. After a few miles he came across this sign above.
This is what the Crooked River looks like from a bridge down the road from the sign. The slow, black, murky rivers down here do not compare to the clear, fast flowing rivers of Northern Michigan.
How appealing does this sign make the Crooked River seem for recreational purposes? We do not know what the dangers are, but you can use your imagination.
Bill rode into town and asked this local where the best place was to eat fish. It was not not surprising when his answer was, "Long John Silvers". Oh Well!.
