Day 37: Back to Activities in the RV Park

On Friday, February 7 Llano Grande Lake RV Resort had a free two-hour jam session in the Recreation Hall that Bill attended.  There were almost 20 musicians and singers who jammed.  The session was very structured and planned with a coffee and pie break in the middle.  There were guitars, fiddles, keyboard, harmonicas, saxophone and singers.  Some of the entertainers were surprisingly talented and many in the audience came from other RV parks to watch and listen.  It was two hours well spent out of the cool rain.
You could only step up to the main mike when your name was called.

Some were married couples who performed.

Others would just call out a song and say what key they were going to play it in.  The other musicians would then join in.  It was fun to watch.

Here is proof that "The Yellow Rose of Texas" is not just a song.

We wish we had the money that the park wasted in natural gas keeping their four pools heated even in cool weather when no one was using them.  No use of solar blankets down here.

On Saturday our RV park had a "Patio Sale".  Phil and Nancy Smoker from Vicksburg/Mission came over to check it out.  Here Bill and Phil got to carry back some of the bargains we found.

  1. What exactly is a patio sale? Each RV sells things?
