The weather was partly sunny on Monday so we drove out of the park and over the bridge on Route 40 to the sea shore at Ormond Beach.
Parking was easy along the shore road so we chose this stretch of beach to explore.
We found this life guard building to be an odd structure.
There were some people fishing with the longest casting rods we had ever seen. The pelicans seemed to be catching all the fish.
It was not quite swimming suit weather but we set up a blanket anyway.
This little bird came up close to the blanket looking for a handout.
